Thanks for downloading the demo of ReleaseDates. This demo contains the complete THEATER and HITWATCH modules from the full ReleaseDates database. This demo will give you the opportunity to tryout the software and determine it's compatibility with your version of MS Outlook and your model of PDA.
In this zip file:
movies.csv - The ReleaseDates Movie database. This contains all known THEATER release dates.
hitwatch.csv - The ReleaseDates HitWatch database. This contains a special listing for movies being released over the next 6 weeks with a list of actors and a plot summary. Very helpful if you're at the movies and can't decide what to see.
demo-combined.csv - A combined database of the Movies and Hitwatch modules. Easier to use this one if you want both modules imported.
demo-combined(free_time).csv - The combined database that will show the time as being "FREE" in Outlook. It also adds a ReleaseDates "Category". This file is for those users of Corporate or Workgroup Outlook that have trouble with ReleaseDates showing the time as "BUSY". Users not experiencing problems should continue using the standard "demo-combined.csv".
Instructions for use:
1. Load Microsoft Outlook.
2. Select File, then "Import and Export".
3. Select "Import from another program or file".
4. Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)".
5. Browse to where you unzipped this file.
6. Select the database you wish to import.
7. Select the option marked "Replace duplicates with items imported".
8. Click Next.
9. Select "Calendar" or wherever you store you calendar information.
10. Click Next.
11. Click on Finish.
Note: This procedure was tested using MS Outlook 97 and 2000. Previous versions may vary slightly but should still be compatible.
WARNING: Once the ReleaseDates database has been merged into your Outlook or PDA Calendar, the only way to remove the information it to manually delete it.
Congratulations! You are now up to date with the newest ReleaseDates!
Remember: The full version of ReleaseDates contains the release schedule for all known movies (both theatrical and home video), music, and PC software coming out over the next 3 months and beyond. A small one-time fee of $8.00 is required to receive free updates to the complete ReleaseDates database sent directly to you via email.
